Dewey Bruce Autry Amburgey, 86 years of age, passed away on August 9th, 2023 in Hudson, FL. He is survived by Shirley Smith of Hudson, FL, his long time partner of 37 years; sons Marlon Amburgey of Las Vegas, NV and Brian Amburgey of Madison Heights, MI; daughters Mrs. Nora (Tommy) Avers, and Lisa Martinez, both of Cottrellville, MI; and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dewey was a a funny dude and the biggest jokester you would ever meet. There was never a time to be serious when he was around. He loved his family dearly and would do anything for them. His hobbies included training dogs, refurbishing guitars, watching old western movies, horse racing and above all shooting a game of pool. He would never want anyone sitting around crying, so as he would always say "I need a piece of pie."
