Bisaha, Debra A's Obituary
Debra A. Bisaha September 25, 1956 – May 21, 2026
After a recent cancer diagnosis, Debra A. Bisaha, lovingly known as Deb, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, at her home in Spring Hill, Florida, surrounded by the love of her family. Though her time following the diagnosis was brief, she faced it with the same grace, faith, strength, and resilience that defined her life.
Deb was born on September 25, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio, and lived a life marked by compassion, creativity, perseverance, and deep devotion to her family and faith.
Debra is survived by her devoted husband, Dave Bisaha of Weeki Wachee, Florida. Together they were married on March 25, 1995, in Safety Harbor, Florida, building a beautiful blended family filled with love, laughter, and strong bonds.
She is also survived by her beloved children: Julie Ann McNerney of Spring Hill, Florida, her husband Jason McNerney, and their daughters Ava and Mia Waters; and son Gregory Ziegler of Hudson, Florida, his wife Wanda Isabella Ziegler Batista, and their children Mason Israel Ziegler, Ashley Mendez of Queensland, Australia; Jailene Mendez of Texas; and Dystanie Marcial of Tampa, Florida, her husband Carlos Marcial, and daughters Milani and Remy Marcial.
Deb was a loving stepmother to Amber Gramer of Tarpon Springs, Florida (husband Aaron Gramer and children Christian and Brianna Llauget), Jayde Gray of New Port Richey, Florida (husband Noah Gray and children Liam and Claire), and Krystal Magnuson of Weeki Wachee, Florida (husband Mark Magnuson and children Reed and River).
She is survived by her siblings: Mike Hanzel of Brooksville, Florida; Cheryl Valley, Donald Hanzel, Jim Valley, John Hanzel, Joseph Hanzel, and Tom Valley, all of Ohio. She was preceded in infancy by her twin sister, Teresa.
Debra’s life story was one of strength and perseverance. After the loss of her twin sister in infancy and early hardships that placed her in foster care, she was eventually reunited
with her mother, Louise. At just 19 years old, shortly after her mother’s passing, Deb lovingly stepped in to raise her younger brother, Mike, helping shape his lifelong passion for music.
Deb was known for her giving heart and servant’s spirit. She was truly a “neighborhood caretaker,” always ready to help others—whether driving neighbors to appointments, cleaning homes, or offering support in times of need. She was a lung and breast cancer survivor who lovingly cared for her mother-in-law, Julia Bisaha, during her cancer battle. Deb became a source of encouragement and hope to many families walking through their own cancer and health journeys.
Her creativity and talents left a lasting mark on her community. Deb was a gifted artist, with murals in Tarpon Springs and artwork displayed in churches and communities throughout the area. She contributed to early Crosspoint Church ministries by painting backdrops for children’s programs and small groups. Her work was even featured on the cover of “The Healing Place”.
Deb lived life fully and joyfully. She found delight in thrifting and discovering a good bargain, loved baking sweet treats, and created a warm, welcoming home decorated beautifully for every season. She was an accomplished bowler, once scoring a perfect 300 in a tournament. She was also an experienced clogger, a skydiver, and an avid gardener who turned her yard into an oasis for all who visited.
A woman of deep faith, Deb was an active member of The Way Community and Calvary Chapel Hernando. She was also a dedicated Bible Study Fellowship graduate, completing over nine years of study.
Debra will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, artistic spirit, unwavering faith, and the profound love she gave so freely to her family and all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched.
