Danny Cade's Obituary
A Quiet Path of Strength
July 31, 1962 – April 2, 2026
The sun rose over Peoria, Illinois, on July 31, 1962, and a life of steady purpose began. Danny “Pops” Cade carried that calm light through every season that followed.
A lifelong provider with a heart far softer than his gruff exterior, he was a hardworking man whose ornery nature outmatched only by his unwavering devotion to his family. From early days, he showed a spirit that was hardworking, curious, resilient, loyal, and confident. Friends and family simply called him Pops, a name that spoke to steady guidance more than to age or title.
He found peace in open spaces, moving easily between camping fires, quiet fishing banks, and clear hunting trails. In those places he listened to wind and water, trusting the land to steady his heart.
Life’s center for Pops was family. He shared each ordinary day with his life partner, Stefanie Mancini, and watched his children—Daniel, Celia, Josh, Ashley, Christopher, and Samuel—grow in their own time and way giving him a host of grandchildren.
He also kept close ties with his siblings. Memories of talks with his sister Maydean and brother Dean.
Loss touched his life with the passing of his daughter Rain Mancini, yet Pops met sorrow with the same steady strength he brought to every task.
On April 2, 2026, he died at home in Hudson, Florida. Though his voice is now still, the example he set—work hard, stay curious, remain loyal—continues like a clear stream that does not lose its course.
Those who knew him will remember the way he faced each dawn. Pops leaves a simple lesson: walk with purpose, love without pause, and trust the open sky.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 17, 2026, 10 AM in Grace Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home in Hudson, FL.
