Dale Roger Lundy's Obituary
Dale Roger Lundy, age 83, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025, at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Irene Lundy, with whom he shared over 50 wonderful years of marriage.
Born on July 13, 1942, in Shoals, Indiana, Dale was the son of the late Odis and Ethel Lundy. He cherished his childhood memories of camping, swimming, and fishing along the White River with his family.
Dale proudly served in the United States Navy for four years. Following his service, he became a skilled masonry contractor, dedicating over two decades to his craft. He founded Lundy and Rogerson Masonry Contracting Inc., where he built everything from fireplaces to million-dollar homes and commercial complexes.
A true craftsman at heart, Dale enjoyed fixing and building things, even creating his own furniture. He and Irene shared a love for camping and traveled extensively along the East Coast. Dale also loved dining out and discovering new restaurants, with Dunkin’ being a favorite stop for his daily coffee.
He was a familiar face at the VFW, where he loved to dance, and was often seen cruising the neighborhood in his golf cart with his loyal dog, Charlie. Known for his storytelling, Dale delighted in recounting his youthful adventures and mischief. He will be remembered for his humor, kindness, and zest for life. Dale was the life of the party and deeply cherished his family and friends, especially his daughter.
Dale is survived by his daughter, Janet Lundy-Teixeira (Stacey); grandchildren: Ashlee J. Teixeira and Lowell A. Teixeira (Lacey); great-grandchildren: Jaylynn, Kylee, Lowell Jr., and Kaliyah; his furry companion, Charlie; and many nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Irene; his parents; his brother, Wilmer Lundy; his sister, Margie June Lundy-Madden; and his great-granddaughter, Knickyla.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
