Curtis A. Petty's Obituary
Curtis A. Petty, 71, of Brooksville, Florida passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska on September 5, 1942 to Robert and Verda Petty. He is of the Christian Faith. He moved to the Brooksville area from Nebraska in 1974. Mr. Petty is remembered by family and friends as being a family man. He also enjoyed travelling, especially with his family. He had a successful career with Bell South as a telephone installer. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Odessa, Florida Fire Department from 1976 to 1983. He will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to have known him.He was predeceased by his loving wife Pauline in 1984. He is survived by his six children: Curtis Petty, Jr. (Susan), Rodney Petty (Delphia), Billy Petty, Steve Petty, Valerie Villani (Greg), and Brenda Petty; eighteen grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2014 between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at Grace Memorial Funeral Home in Hudson. A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., also at Grace Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral service at Sunset Memory Gardens in Thonotosassa, Florida.
