Creola Towns' Obituary
Creola Towns, 75, of Spring Hill, FL passed away Friday, April 12, 2013. An Alabama and Arkansas native and long-time resident of Chester, Pennsylvania, she moved to the Spring Hill/Hudson, FL area from Chicago, IL around 1999. A member of the Christian faith, she attended services at Shady Hills United Methodist Church in Spring Hill. She was also active in the Silver Sneakers program at the Hernando County YMCA. Creola had an accomplished career as a nurse. Her first position was at Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Chester, PA. She went on to work at Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park, PA and at the Fair Acres Geriatric Center in Media, PA. Creola is remembered by many as a talkative and outspoken individual. She is also known for enjoying her television programs. Creola is survived by her sons, Aaron Towns and Ricky Lane and his wife Leslie; nieces, Adele, Marcia, and Scretia Samuel; nephew, Darrell Samuel; five grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; and many great friends, including Bill and Phoebe Ligeiko. She was predeceased by her husband, Arrow Towns; sister, Ruth Ola Samuel; and niece, Pamela Morris. Creola will be dearly missed by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held at The Village of Hope C.M.E. Church, 4600 Rockbridge Road, Stone Mountain, Georgia 30083, on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 2:00 P.M.
