Charlie Salvador Provenza's Obituary
Charles Salvador Provenza, 91, of Hudson, Florida passed away peacefully with his family at his side at 4:15 AM Monday, June 6, 2022 at his residence.
A native of Oakmont, Pennsylvania, he was born March 27, 1931 the son of the late Vincent Provenza and Lucia Liberto Provenza. Charles was the oldest of six children.
Charles dedicated his life to service, he served his country and retired after 27 years in the United States Marine Corps, a Korean war veteran. He then retired after serving over 20 years as a New York police officer.
Charles is survived by his wife: Diamanda D’Addezio Provenza and four children; his daughter Lani and her husband Terence McElgun of Garden City, NY, daughter Laura D’Arcy of Orlando, FL, His son Charlie and wife Cynthia Provenza of Palm Harbor, FL. His son Michael and wife Kim Provenza of Punta Gorda, FL. He also had 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Hudson on Friday June 10th from 9:00 AM till 9:25. followed by Mass of Christian burial at 9:30 AM, with burial and military honors to follow in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida at 1:30PM sharp.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations please go to a organization that supports veterans, like Wounded Warriors or any others of your choice.
