Charles Wayne Guthrie Sr.'s Obituary
Charles Wayne Guthrie Sr., 72, of Hudson, FL passed away November 20, 2016 at the Medical Center of Trinity. A native of Troy, AL born to John and Cora (Andress) Guthrie, Charles spent his youth in Alabama where he loved playing baseball. He played in the 1956 and 1957 Little League World Series. Later in life he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. After his service Charles owned and operated a dry cleaning company. He was a member of the Assembly of God. Charles enjoyed many things in life, like going to Disney World, spending time at the Beach or theater but his priority always was his family first and being an Auburn Football Fan 2nd. He is survived by his wife Linda of 15 years; son, Charles, Jr.; 6 daughters, Michelle, Vicky, Angela, Misty, Becky and Carolyn; 2 step-daughters, Carrie and Pam; 3 sisters, Rose, Gloria and Sara; 20 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday from 11am till 1pm. Graveside services will take place at Florida National Cemetery Friday at 2:30 pm with Military Honors.
