Catherine Gutierrez's Obituary
Catherine Gutierrez, 82, of weeki wachee, Florida, passed away on 02/26/2019. She will be missed dearly by her family. She was a pancreatic cancer survivor of 41 yrs. She also survived 2 strokes in April of 2018, and she fought hard to stay with her family and was unable to continue her fight This year.
She was 1 of 13 children born to parents Ralph and Mary Perpinan, on 06/21/1936 in Brooklyn, New York.
Catherine worked as a Mental Hygiene therapy aide for 32 years.
After 32 years of service, she retired from Pilgrim Psychiatric center in Brentwood, NY. in 1989.
She resided in Brentwood Long Island NY. before moving to Spring Hill FL. in 1994.
She was a loving wife, mother, mother in law, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a loyal sister, aunt, cousin, friend and family to many. Also known as Kitty.
She enjoyed being independent till the age of 81, she loved being with her family, and her friends. bingo was her 2nd love.
Catherine met her husband Raymond in 1951.
They were married on 03/18/1956 in Brooklyn, New York. who predeceased her in 1996, Together they raised 5 children.
Catherine is survived by 4 daughters Kathleen married to Donnie, Ramona married to Ivan, Patricia married to Gary, and Pamela married to William.
1 Son Raymond Jr. married to Edith. 9 Grandchildren Felix, Paul, Joe, Ivan, Monique, Luis, Anthony, Raymond and Henry. 5 Great grandchildren Alex, Desire, Justice, Ezekiel and Liam, and 3 sisters Rosalyn, Velma and Maryann.
Following the service at Grace Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home on Monday March 18th at 3pm, there will be a gathering for refreshments at Ramona’s house at 4621 Ayrshire dr. Spring Hill FL. 34609 Sterling Hill Community.
