Carmen Birriel's Obituary
Carmen Birriel, 87, of Spring Hill, FL passed away on Friday, October 25th, 2013. She was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico to Isaac Calderon and Narcisa Rivera. Carmen moved to Spring Hill twenty years ago after living in Puerto Rico and New York for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo, watching her Spanish novellas and spending time with her friends. Carmen was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. Carmen was preceded in death by her husband David W. Birriel, Sr. and son David Birriel, Jr. She is survived by her daughter Lillian Birriel of New York; sister Norma Calderon of Puerto Rico; brother-in-law Eugenio Birriel & wife Aidin of Puerto Rico; sister-in-law Dora Birriel of Middletown, NY and numerous loving nieces, nephews, godchildren and children she cared for as her own. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.Visitation will be from 2:00 – 6:00PM Sunday, October27th, 2013 located at Grace Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Service mass will be 9:30AM Monday, October 28th, 2013 at St. Theresa Catholic Church.Funeral service in New York will be 11:00 - 3:00PM Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Ortiz Funeral Home 2121 Westchester Ave Bronx, NY 10462. There will be a 3:30PM gathering after the service at F & J Pine Restaurant 1913 Bronxdale Ave. Bronx, NY 10462. Visitation again will be 8:30 - 10:00AM Monday, November 4, 2013, will be leaving the funeral home at 10AM sharp for a graveside service at 10:15AM located at Saint Raymond's Cemetery 2600 Lafayette Ave Bronx, NY 10465.
