Bobby E Hockaday's Obituary
Bobby E. Hockaday, 72, of Floral City, Fl. (Formally of Clearwater) passed away July 30, 2015 at Citrus Memorial Hospital. A Celebration of His Life will be held at Grace Memorial Funeral Home, Hudson, Fl. Saturday at 2 PM, interment to follow at Grace Memorial Gardens. A native of Angier, N.C. Bobby lived in the Clearwater area from 1966 till 1989 moving to Floral City, Fl. He was a Christian by faith and served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He later retired from Couchs Pest Patrol in Safety Harbor, Fl. Bobby was an avid NASCAR fan who enjoyed watching his all-time favorite #43 Richard Petty, other passions in his life was his wood working and making good home style (Award Winning) BBQ with his special secret sauce. He is survived by his loving wife Jan; son, Rick Whitaker and wife Patti of New Port Richey, Fl.; daughter Colleen Smith and husband Eric of Land O’ Lakes, Fl.; 3 grandchildren, Eric Lee, Rachel and Beth; 3 great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Brooke and Alex.
