Barbara E. Jacobs' Obituary
Barbara E. Jacobs (Estelle B. Jacobs), 81, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at North Bay Hospital in New Port Richey, Florida. She was the widow of Harvey Jacobs.
Born on April 6, 1944, in Bronx, New York, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Hoppenwasser and Pearl Hoppenwasser (née Steiner).
For 25 years, Barbara dedicated herself to the nursing profession as a Registered Nurse, providing compassionate care to those in need.
She enjoyed watching television shows, especially those centered on true crime, medical, or science fiction themes. Her favorite thing to do though was spending time with her family.
She will be remembered for always being kind, caring, and selfless. Also, anyone that knew her would tell you that she had a love for Koalas and frogs.
Barbara is survived by her son, Scott Jacobs (Holly); her daughter, Marcy Jacobs; five grandchildren: Paige Bruno (Logan), Jarrett "Jake" Jacobs, Jaden Houston, Joel Jacobs (Katie), and Nichole Raphial (Rick); three great-grandchildren: Hannah Bruno, Trey Sulsona, and Joel Jacobs Jr; and her sister, Helene Depalma. She is predeceased by both of her parents; her husband; and her sister, Carol.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Grace Memorial Gardens, 16931 US Hwy 19 North, Hudson, FL 34667.
