April Marsha Bauch's Obituary
April Marsha Bauch, 84, passed away on March 29, 2026, at her home in Tampa, Florida. She was the beloved widow of Michael Bauch, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage, building a life grounded in love, partnership, and unwavering devotion.
She was born on August 26, 1941, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to the late Fred McCreary and Kathaleen Knisely.
April found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved playing Pinochle, Bingo, Rummikub—truly any card game—especially when enjoyed with friends. During her time at Aston Gardens, she treasured the friendships she formed and the strong sense of community she found there.
Before settling at Aston Gardens, April and her beloved husband traveled the world together, embracing adventures and experiences that enriched their lives and strengthened their bond.
She was an enthusiastic supporter of Indiana University basketball and, in recent years, took great interest in following IU football. April also held a special fondness for owls, a symbol that reflected her wisdom, gentleness, and thoughtful spirit.
Above all else, April will be remembered for her loving and selfless heart. She cared deeply for those closest to her and lived a life of service. Intelligent, compassionate, and quietly strong, she devoted herself to others—most notably as a caregiver to her husband during his illness, while also assisting with the administrative operations of his business. Her servant’s heart, generosity, and unwavering care left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
April is survived by her loving children, Anne Jones (Dennis Shannon) and Chris Bauch (Judy); her seven grandchildren, Nick (Marguerite), Maggie, Dan (Gina), Sam, Sarah (Sean), Emily, and Matthew; and her two cherished greatgrandchildren, who brought her immense joy. She is also survived by her sister, Kay Perez, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
April Marsha Bauch lived a life defined by love, service, and devotion to family. Her memory will forever be cherished by the many lives she touched.
