Anthony F. Secone III's Obituary
Anthony F. Secone III, age 53, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025, surrounded by his beloved family. He was the devoted husband of Christine Secone, with whom he shared 23 cherished years of marriage.
Born in Suffern, New York, Anthony was the son of the late Anthony Secone Jr. and Donna Secone. He proudly served as a New York State Corrections Officer before retiring, dedicating his career to public service with integrity and strength. Anthony also served as a volunteer firefighter in Haverstraw, NY, for 16 years—an act of selflessness that reflected his deep commitment to helping others.
Anthony was a man of many passions. He loved playing poker and board games like Yahtzee, exploring new restaurants and cuisines—especially the hidden gems and unique flavors of places like Ethiopian eateries—and traveling across the United States. He was also an avid baseball card collector, with a treasured collection that reached into the thousands. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family and friends.
He will be remembered for his honesty, loyalty, and unwavering love for those closest to him. Anthony’s presence lit up every room, and his fierce devotion to his loved ones left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Anthony is survived by his loving wife, Christine; his children: Melissa Leonor (RJ), Michael Canu (Mya Reblin), Chyanne Secone, and Cayla Secone; his grandchildren: Kayden, Riley, Addison, Caleb, Maverick, a granddaughter soon to arrive, Aurora; and his pride and joy—his loyal dog, Stormy. He is also survived by his sister, Donna along with several aunts and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Jr. and Donna Secone.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Grace Memorial Gardens, 16931 US Hwy 19 North, Hudson, FL. Visitation will begin at 3:00 PM and continue until the time of the service. A remembrance gathering will follow; please contact the family for details.
