Keith Sutton
My name is KEITH SUTTON. I went to high school with Ann, graduated with her in 1969 and ran around with her after school with a mutual friend Richard Curlett. The three of us were inseparable. Going everywhere together and joking all the time. We made a lot of fun memories. Her nickname back then was Rouge. Just thinking of that makes me smile. I had great fun with her Mom, Dad and wiener dog. She bought my 1972 baby blue Mustang with a black convertible top. She took it to Ohio State University. After college we kinda went our separate ways. I searched for her online several times and one day I learned she was living here in FL not far from me in St Petersburg. We wanted to get together even though she was already fighting cancer. We met in Tarpon Springs, walked half the town and had a great meal together. Then I heard she was battling again and was sent to rehab. I went to visit and that’s my last time shared with her.
My later emails went unanswered and today I found her obituary. I had no ties to her close friends or extended family so it’s understandable that I wasn’t notified.
I loved Ann as one of my most fun Best Friends. I’m so glad her path lead her to the Lord and sharing her spirit and skills to freely help others. I’m sad that I missed her funeral service, to properly grieve our loss and celebrate her life. But I will always smile when I think of Ann.
