Alfred Joseph Jablonsky's Obituary
Alfred Joseph Jablonsky, 91, of Spring Hill, FL, peacefully passed away on August 22, 2023, after bravely facing a short yet intense battle with pancreatic cancer. Born to Henry and Magdalena Jablonsky in Brooklyn, NY, his life's journey was marked by inspiration and the heartfelt gift of spreading smiles wherever he ventured. Following his graduation from high school, Al enlisted in the United States Air Force toward the tail end of the Korean War. Serving for four years as a skilled flight engineer aboard a B29 Superfortress, his global explorations with the crew ignited a lifelong passion for travel. After dutifully serving his nation, Al channeled his talents into a diverse array of roles, including a commercial airline mechanic, a stationary engineer overseeing expansive HVAC operations, and even as a cheerful Bungalow Bar Ice Cream truck driver during challenging times. Al found profound love and companionship in Frances Elizabeth Burke, their union blessed with the gift of four children: Frances, Carol, Cindy, and Henry. Following Frances' passing, fate smiled upon Al again as he welcomed two exceptional women into his life. Kay Blazis, his partner and fellow explorer, became his cherished spouse in 1998. And after Kay's departure, Katie Bodfish brought joy and radiance to Al's later years, filling them with happiness and fond memories. Al often mused, "God blessed me with three great women." Retiring in 1990 after the loss of his first wife, Al embarked on a new chapter in Florida, where he initially resided with his daughter Frances. His eventual settlement in Spring Hill became a canvas for his creative pursuits, as he meticulously crafted 1/72 scale model airplanes and wholeheartedly engaged in Timber Pines' vibrant activities, all while living life with an unwavering smile. Alfred Joseph Jablonsky was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Magdalena, as well as his siblings Henry and Eddie, his first wife Frances, and his second wife Kay. His legacy lives on through his surviving children, Carol, Cindy, and Henry (Jenn), along with his beloved grandchildren, Nicolas and Camden.
