“DON'T”
We start by wrapping our arms around his closest circle, because family was always Alexis’ first thought. He leaves his cherished wife Karena, four adored daughters Aleni, Mariella, Kayloni, and Aviana loving brothers Yomar and Alex, cousin Joel, and nephew Malekai. His parents, Yomarie and Alexis, went before him, and we take comfort in knowing they welcome him now.
Born in Juncos, Puerto Rico, Alexis carried the spirit of his birthplace wherever he went. That strong island foundation followed him all the way to Spring Hill, Florida, where his story came to a close far sooner than any of us were ready for.
Alexis was a hard-working business owner who made sure his family was cared for, just like he always promised. Long nights and early mornings never slowed him down if it meant putting food on the table or a smile on his girls’ faces.
The words hardworking, generous, determined, intelligent, and resilient fit him perfectly. Whether facing a stubborn project or lending a hand to a neighbor, Alexis met every task with steady resolve and a quick mind.
Away from work, he found simple joy in fishing, gaming, cooking on the grill, riding, and, yes, even more working—because for him, purposeful effort was its own kind of fun. We can still hear the sizzle of the grill and the easy chatter that rolled out with the evening smoke.
Alexis never needed flowery speeches; his actions spoke clearly enough. “DON'T” was the brief motto he kept close, a reminder to cut out the noise and get right to what matters.
We will carry forward the lessons he taught by example—show up, work hard, care deeply, and never quit on the people you love. That is the legacy he leaves in the hands and hearts of those who remain.
Rest well, Alexis. We will honor you by living the way you showed us: determined, generous, and always ready to look after one another.
A viewing will be held from 3-5 PM, Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Grace Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
