Peggy J. Parham, 85, of Port Richey, FL passed away January 13, 2017. A celebration of her life will be held Friday 2:00 PM at Grace Memorial funeral Home. A native of Green County, Ind. She came to the area in 1985 after retiring Read Obituary
Though today is a significant day in our lives as Americans, it is a day on which I will memorialize my great aunt who died last Friday. As it says in Philippians 1:3, “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you.” Peggy Parham was a woman of such strength, love and laughter. When she was a young girl, her mother grabbed her up and ran across the street to seek safety from a neighbor woman, whom also was filled with strength and love. It was my grandma Pate from the other side of my family. Never let it be said that God doesn’t put people in our lives for His purpose. Both of these women, want me to aspire to be the best I can be. Great Aunt Peg lived each day to the fullest with a generosity, love and compassion that touched everyone she met. She was like a sister to my mother. Yet, we are grieved by her passing, we know “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”(Matt. 5:4) But more importantly we know she has no more “crying or pain, for the old order of things have passed away.” (Rev.21:4)
I am sure she and my grandma and grandpa Parham are dancing from cloud to cloud. Peggy Parham, you will be missed, but your love has left its mark!

Peggy, you always made me feel welcome, and always had a kind word and compliment for everyone. And were one hell of a card player. I will miss you.
Some of my most favorite memories of my Cousin Peggy, was when I was a little girl! I thought she was one of themost beautiful ladies in the world! She was always dressed so nice and smelled so pretty. She would give me her high heels and dress up clothes which made me feel like a Princess like Peggy!! She was a sweet, kind lady and we will all miss her! My Prayers for Dick, Mike, Rick, and Dirk, and all the other family members! God Bless!!
I spent a lot of my youthful days at the Parham house. Hanging out with my best friend Rick. Spending the night often. A true home away from home. Peggy always made a great meal,(my favorite the beef stroganoff)! And made playing board games and cards a fun time. You could tell she always enjoyed the moment by her smile and laughter. As an adult I know she still considered herself a mom to me. And when my mom passed, Peggy reminded me that mom #2 was there to lend an ear or advice.
