Josephine Sciallo's Obituary
Josephine Sciallo, age 96, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, at New Port Richey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Aniello Sciallo, with whom she shared over 60 cherished years of marriage.
Born on December 5, 1929, in Brooklyn, New York, Josephine was a lifelong example of strength, kindness, and devotion to family.
Josephine was known for her generous heart and strong will. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and took great pride in being deeply family-oriented. She found joy in simple pleasures—playing cards, enjoying bingo, and celebrating her many wins with pride and enthusiasm.
During her time at the nursing home, Josephine remained an active and respected leader among her peers. She served as head of the residents’ council, where she took residents’ concerns seriously and worked tirelessly to advocate on their behalf.
Before her health declined, Josephine had a passion for cooking. She loved trying new recipes and took great joy in preparing meals for those she loved, creating lasting memories around the table.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Lorraine Marks and her husband Robert; her grandsons, David Marks and Brian Marks (Krystne); her treasured great-grandchildren, Berkeley, Sebastian, and Holden Marks; her beloved great-granddog, Stanley; and her brother, Frank Scaturro.
