Just saw this notice that Al had passed. He was my Sergeant and a great mentor.
I remember him responding to a call for assistance by me while he was off duty. His help likely saved the life of a subject I was taking into custody.
Al was a great cop and even greater Man.
Many fond memories of Al when I was a kid...He kept my 1960 Volvo 544 running and tuned and we had many a fine time listening to Al's stories of sports cars and early SCCA racing either at his garage...Sport and Touring ESSO or next door at the Seven Seas...later I ran into Al occasionally while I was teaching at Dunedin High and he was a member of the Dunedin Police Force...A good Friend who I will never forget...Prayers and Thoughts to the Family...Rod Henrion
