It's taken me awhile to figure out what I wanted to say, but I'm finally here. I loved it when I came to visit & you would yell out, "Eija is here." We had a shared love of our Z24s (you came with me to test-drive one before I purchased). I remember when your Z died and you got the "Donna Reed" car...and I enjoyed making fun of it. You had the best arroz con pollo dish and you found a way to make just the bean sauce for me (no beans!). We would argue over the proper pronunciation of the word 'fish' in Spanish (you made fun of me every time). I remember when you refused to show your teeth when speaking, or laughing or smiling until you got your dentures...but then you still didn't do show them. I remember when you ratted mommy out for hiding the apple pie at Thanksgiving so she could have it for herself (even now I am laughing). I'm thankful for the memories; thankful you are no longer in pain; may you always rest in peace. I love you. Your daughter, Missy
I am so glad that your dad had the comfort of having you and the family close on his last days. He felt your presence and is in peace now. May he rest in peace. Love you guys and am so proud of your strength on this difficult time.
"Don't come back until you make two friends..." - I was TERRIBLY shy as a child (true story, I promise). And on one camping trip, Dad had had enough with my shyness and made me socialize. It was torture for this introvert, however, THANK GOD he made me because it allowed me to find my voice - and I never lost it again lol!!! Dad taught me so much - he contributed so much to my heart, my brain, and my soul. He truly was one of my best friends. We spoke a few times a week, and he cared about every detail of my life. Always paid attention, and always knew what to say. And my goodness could we talk shit together and laugh - we would "shoot the shit" (as he would say) for hours - about NOTHING and just giggle. I will continue to chat with you Dad 'cuz I know you're right there.......I love you. Your daughter, Jessie
Hon Miss you so much, but was I just sitting here remembering all the good times we had. The trips we used to make, Canada, Puerto Rico, Wisconsin dells, New England, How happy we were when our grandson Tristn came along, and when our granddaughter Samantha came along. Visiting with our family, the holidays when you did all the cooking, cause as you know I could not cook. Remember the time upstate when we mowed the lawn and I did not shut the Tractor down the right way and you had to jump over me to catch and keep it from rolling down the ravine and into the stream. You were not to happy, The good times we had at the casino especially since you always won. And the trip to Chattanooga and the caverns and waterfall. Then Nashville to the Grand Ole Opry. I, We all love and miss you, if I could I come get you.
