i just looked up Gladys' name on the web to see if i could find out where she was because i had just had a dream about her last night (9/19/20). i worked with Gladys at the Montgomery County Mental Health and Recovery Board in Dayton, OH. Gladys was the most influential person in my career. She was so smart in so many ways and she mentored me in my early years after graduate school. No other single person in the many i encountered over my career taught me more and inspired me more than Gladys did. I loved her spirit and personality as well and thought she was one of the most interesting person i have ever known.
now i could kick myself for not trying to find Gladys earlier. i actually did many years after she and Susan had moved to Florida but i couldn't find out much at the time and unfortunately didn't pursue the search.
My condolences to Susan (we met a couple of times) and Gladys' family for their loss. i write this with a heavy heart as I, too, loved Gladys. i wish i had had a chance to see her again and learn something else from her dynamic and indomitable life force.
